Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia or officially Triune Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia was part of Hungarian kingdom in Austo-Hungary and Dalmatia was part of it in name only de facto being a part of Austrian kingdom .

Hungarian Postal system was in charge of postal services in Croatia according to Croatian-Hungarian Settlement(Hrvatsko-ugarska nagodba) of 1868. Therefore Postal cancels from regular posts and from Postal agencies were bilingual in Hungarian and Croatian language.
Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia was made of 8 counties in Croatian -Županija or in Hungarian VARMEGYE.

In Croatia-Slavonia auxiliary postal offices also called Postal Agencies were all opened after 1900. Such post offices were opened in small places whose postal activity was insufficient for regular post to be opened but still needed some postal coverage.
Postal agencies were run by local teacher, priest,
merchant or some other person that seemed reliable to Postal officials.
If place had a Railway station then the station manager was in charge of
Postal agency. Whoever run the Postal agency had to pass exam
in Postal manipulation rules.
POSTAL CANCELS
Only one type of postal cancel was used in all agencies, they differ in size and text but all cancels are similar in appearance.

Cancels have written on top the name of the Postal agency(same as the name of place where it is located) sometimes there is note in which county is this place located as many names are similar. This is noted by letters VM- abbreviated from VARMEGYE -county in Hungarian or letters ŽUP. short for county in Croatian - ŽUPANIJA. If agency was located on Railway station cancel has a abbreviation KOL. or KLDV short for Croatian Kolodvor= Station.
In second row the date is applied . Mostly in order : year, month, day but in some cases order is day, month, year. After date there is abbreviaton d.e or d.u this notes if cancel was applied in the morning or in the afternoon of the day ,it comes from Hungarian:
d.e. -delelott means in the morning (Croatian - prijepodne)
d.u.- delutan means in the afternoon (Croatian-poslijepodne).
In the next row are hunagarian word POSTAI UGYN. this is short for Postai ügynökség - meaning: postal agency .
In the last row is Croatian for postal agency - POŠTAN.(SKA) AGENCIJA
In total there were 191 Postal agencies in Kingdom of Croatia - Slavonia , some of them used 2 cancels during their existence so the total number of cancels is around 220 cancels (222?). Sometimes name in the cancel changed this is noted the list below , sometimes cancel was replaced with new one but the text stayed the same, this is noted by new year in the list .
Postal rule was that Postal agency cancel was not to be applied over stamps but next to them. Stamps were to be cancelled in nearby regular post office that collected mail from postal agency. This was done to prevent possible frauds with mail. This rule was mostly ignored and stamps were often cancelled with postal agency canceller.
The only source of information about postal agencies that I know is Dragutin Cividin book "Poštanski manipulativni žigovi Hrvatske 1755-1918".
Portion of the postal agencies continued to work after the dissolution of Austro-Hungary in the new SHS/Yugoslavia postal system , some of them used old cancels , some of them adapted cancel by removing Hungarian text and some were issued new cancels with time.
Below follows alphabetical list of postal agencies in Croatia - Slavonia , after it follow 2 short lists of Postal agencies in Međimurje and Croatian Baranya that are today part of Croatia . During Austro-Hungary those places and their postal agencies were part of Hungary and used Hungarian cancels which are similar to ones used in Croatia but without Croatian text .
